Protien skimmers are used only in salt water aquariums/ponds.
Protien skimmer is the best filtration that physically removes organic compounds before they start to decompose and hence decreases the load on the bio-filter.

A protien skimmer is constructed in a tube or tower design and has a collection cup at the top. The skimmer works by injecting massive number of very fine air bubbles into the tube by the means of using either air stones or high pressure water pump. The rising air bubbles act as a lift in the tube allowing the dissolved organic compunds  to attach to the bubbles and reaches to the surface where they are captures in collection cup and are disposed off.

A. Swimming Pool Skimmer: - All exposed skimmer parts are UV resistant. Recommended flow 5000 1/h. In white ABS with   silent weir flap & flow regulation plug. 1.5 female -2” male suction connections. 50 mm solvent connection also provided. Overflow connection 40 mm. Basket secured to base with bayonet fixing. We recommended installing one skimmer for every 25 M2 of water surface area.

B. Swimming Pool Skimmer: - Skimmers are installed near the surface of pool to catch floating debris before it sinks to the bottom of pool. Pool skimmer parts include a basket, a lid, and an open channel through which water flows. All exposed skimmer parts are UV resistant. The recommended flow is 5000 1/h. In white ABS with silent weir flap & flow regulation plug. 1.5 female -2” male suction connections are available. 50 mm solvent connection can also be provided. Overflow connection is 40 mm. Basket secured to base with bayonet fixing. We recommend installing one skimmer for every 25 M2 of water surface area.
